{"id":2764,"date":"2026-06-18T10:34:09","date_gmt":"2026-06-18T08:34:09","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/wistanorway.no\/?p=2764"},"modified":"2026-06-18T10:36:04","modified_gmt":"2026-06-18T08:36:04","slug":"trygve-nokleby-receives-wista-norway-leadership-award-2026","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/wistanorway.no\/old\/trygve-nokleby-receives-wista-norway-leadership-award-2026\/","title":{"rendered":"Trygve N\u00f8kleby receives WISTA Norway Leadership Award 2026"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Announced at the Bergen International Shipping Conference on 10 June, Trygve N\u00f8kleby \u2014 Managing Director of the Bergen Rederiforening (Bergen Shipowners&#8217; Association) was chosen by a vote of our members during the AGM for making diversity a strategic priority across the maritime industry, and serving as a role model and mentor.<\/p>\n<p>Under his leadership, the association has built stronger recruitment pathways, mentoring opportunities, and platforms that open maritime careers to more people. As an early supporter of the 40by30 pledge and a long-standing mentor in the Maritime Meet-Up program, Trygve N\u00f8kleby has consistently turned ambition into lasting change \u2014 both publicly and behind the scenes.<\/p>\n<p>With this honour, he becomes only the second man ever to receive the award.<\/p>\n<p>The award was presented by Siv Rem\u00f8y-Vamgem (2021 recipient), alongside President Capt. Jaquelyn Burton, EMBA, MS, AFNI, <a id=\"ember528\" class=\"ember-view\" tabindex=\"0\" href=\"https:\/\/www.linkedin.com\/in\/jepburton\/\"><\/a> and Vice President Maren Lodden.
